The One Where My Head is Really Clogged

PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THE
bau_inbox. THANK YOU.
I had an interesting day today and a hell of a therapy session that I will probably discuss in detail tomorrow. Also, today is the 4th anniversary of the death of the irreplaceable John Spencer but I promised myself years ago not to mourn his death-iversary but to celebrate his birthday, which is in 4 days. And I just found out my show wont be back for 3 weeks. Um, does anyone have a survival plan?
I really really really liked this episode, so one may find it surprising I have extreme difficulty breaking it down. Too damn much was happening but I was glad to see the BAU didnt rush in, solve it, and have time to get home for scones. It was nice to see them confused for once, actually asking questions they didnt already have or know the answer to.
And let me just say that if I ever get hit by a fast-moving truck, I want to look as hot and badass as Emily Prentiss did while doing it.
Garcia is so cute and watching her work her magic while eating a lollipop led to some dirty, nerdy thoughts. I can admit that.
Hotch seemed really detached in this episode, even more so than just "Hotch". I liked the scene with Morgan at the end, the hero thing and the single parent thing. It would be nice if Hotch let them help more, he doesnt have to take all the responsiblity of the "not fun" stuff. They're a team and they work well together always. They can do the non-fun stuff too.
I love Lee Tergeson, who I always just call Beecher because that's the character he played in Oz. So score another 10 points for Ed Bernero for ruining another perpetual good guy for me. Thanks Ed. So you fuck up Beecher in my mind and give me zippo on the subtext? Remind me again why I love you so.
I will reiterate that I loved this episode. Come in and tell me what you think. Let's get a conversation going so I can actually think straight. This might be the sinus medication you guys. Ooh, also, also
frencina totally gets the non-friend of the friend award today for making me this icon in the batch of total awesome CM icons and banners that she made today. I was floored by her kindness, as I mentioned off hand how I loved someone else's banner of that scene and it needed an icon. People are love sometimes, totally. I gotta go and get my clothes out of the washer.

Date: 2009-12-17 03:41 am (UTC)It feels just like season 4 when they gave her awesome stuff in the episode, yet we never got a feel for the way she handled it after the case...
I guess I really want a Emily/Hotch or (insert fav team member here) heart to heart, with her opening up or showing a little bit about her thoughts after a case
I dunno, great episode...just feels a little unresolved to me.

Also, did you see the way the team reacted to hearing the undercover cop's wife's phone call? I wanted someone to cuddle Hotch at that moment. Poor man.
Morgan totally lived up to all my faith in him at the end of the ep. Did you see his fuzzy pens?! AWESOME. Baby Girl has him whipped.

Date: 2009-12-17 04:38 am (UTC)not only did he call her Emily...but in fanfiction whenever Emily gets hurt or something she has a fear/loathing of hospitals/doctors/being taken care of....they have never mentioned anything like that on the actual show... till now. and it just felt like something one of the fandoms amazing fanfic writers would put in a story
