Yeah, I feel you on the public comm thing. I am lucky in having a writing journal. I created it so that I would also have a place I controlled where my writing was kept, and it would keep too many people from being on my personal journal (even though all posts are f-locked except fics and episode reviews).
But still, its a great thing to have personal and writing completely separate.
Cant you post one in your personal journal though, so your friends can know to nom you. Cuz at least the beginning, the nomination period, is all about friends nominating friends, or fans nominating stories they just loved.
I honestly was really nervous about doing something like this but I swallowed that because I know people are forgetful, its a long year, and I might have ended up with no nominations and it would have been my fault.
