I took this from chiroho so it wont be one of those days, you know.

The first TEN people to comment in this post get to request that I write a drabble of any pairing/character of their choosing. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level.

Um, also, OK I can haz music question? What songs make you long, yearn, for someone and even if they dont make you, you think they are good longing songs. The first one that popped into my head was (Dont Stand) So Close to Me by The Police, cuz it was on the radio and cuz not many writers do longing like Sting. I want to add some music to this totally UST scene I'm getting ready to write in my AU. Any help is totally appreciated.

Also......do this meme. You guys know my fandoms and my pairings, though I dont know how much West Wing I can churn out at this point. I'm gonna leave this public so everyone can see. Thanks a million.

Those are a few I listen to when I do UST/longing scenes myself but it depends on the type of longing too - I mean is this "I wish my lover were here" or "I wish you'd become my lover" or what?? Gimme more info I can give better suggestions, haha!

As far as the rest of post - drabble whatever you like, I'm sure it'll rock, and, uh, what am I supposed to repost?? The thing about the songs?? (It's morning, I've been writing for Rossi challenges non-stop, and am easily confused, haha!)

Tooks, hell you're confusing me : ) There is no point in my writing a drabble if you dont give me a character and possibly a prompt...this is for all of us to have fun, not just me.

You should repost the drabble thing in your journal, if you'd like, but its not a requirement, just a suggestion.

The longing is, "omg, I think I have feelings for you but I am sure you have feelings for someone else". I guess I should have been more specific.

Oh...so I'd be reposting the "First 10 to Reply get a free drabble" thing? That's cool, I can rock that.

Oh...well now all I can think of is "Jesse's Girl", lol!! Oh and maybe "Taste In Men" by Placebo (cause of the lyrics "change your taste in men"). ...I don't think I'm good at this game, lol!

As for songs, I'm thinking If I Ever Lose My Faith In You (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/sting/ifieverlosemyfaithinyou.html), also by Sting. Every time I hear the song I think something about Emily and Hotch.

Dress Rehearsal, 293 words

“What do you think of this one?”

“Lovely.”

“You said that about the last one.”

“That’s because it was true.”

“Aaron!”

“What?” He could barely conceal his grin. Flustering her was fun. “So now I'm going to be scolded for telling the truth? It’s very lovely…as was the last one.”

“Use a different adjective.” Emily replied, her tone telling him that he had better.

“Um, it’s…fabulous.” Hotch snapped his fingers.

Emily laughed, going back into the dressing room. She was taking her time in there but Hotch kept his eyes forward. There was nakedness around and he didn’t want to accidentally see any of it. Shopping had never been his thing, it still wasn’t, but Emily had a way of making him enjoy anything. The mall; the noise, the kids, the bad music, the Unsubs (and they all looked like Unsubs)…it was enough to make Hotch’s head explode.

“How about this?” Emily walked out of the dressing room. What do you think of this one?”

“I…”Hotch leaned forward in the uncomfortable chair as Emily slowly spun for him. “It’s…well…oh my…”

“Cat got your tongue, honey?”

Hotch nodded. She wore a red dress, barely brushing her knees. It snapped around the neck, leaving her whole back bare. In front there was a deep V, which had the beautiful illusion of leaving everything yet nothing to the imagination. He knew every delightful inch under that material and it made his mouth water.

“I triple dog dare you to wear that to your father’s retirement dinner.” Hotch said when his voice returned.

“I think I’m going to buy the lavender Donna Karan for the dinner.” Emily replied, going back into the dressing room. “But I know a party that this one will be perfect for.”

I think you're done with this already, but I gotta say, I don't think anyone can touch longing like Jann Arden, "Can I Be Your Girl", or even "I Would Die For You". I mean, I am worthless sounds compared to all your perfect words, could I be your girl? That is pretty fucking amazing. But I'm biased. :D Janis Joplin is pretty fantastic at it, too, but it's less the songs than her voice. My $0.02.
